| The San Diego Weddings
site was originally built by a bride who had planned a wedding
without the online corroboration with other brides, and she
saw a need: a local online community for brides planning weddings.
The site was sold to a new owner who wanted to take the site
to a new level. The client contacted us and explained her
vision—to give the site a more professional look, and
give the brides a better opportunity to connect with the vendors
they need.
This site has a large online community that regularly uses
the message board to share their experiences, ask questions
and chat about all things bridal (and even some things not
nuptially related). They come together from all over the nation,
and though it’s tailored to brides in San Diego, a lot
of women are using the site to plan a wedding in San Diego
from around the country. This community has become close knit,
and has several thousand users that use the site multiple
times a day. The community has grown to create many personal
friendships where the women now get together offline.
The site is getting roughly 75,000 page accesses per day
which is over 2.2 million hits per month and we feel the tremendous
success of the site can largely be attributed to the online
community of brides that really drive the site.
